After the 25th anniversary of Mariage Québec with all the wedding industry, it’s the fashion world of Montreal who came together for a good cause. Indeed the first edition of the Chapeau Mont Royal event was held Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the Chalet du Mont-Royal with Mitsou Gélinas as the maître de cérémonie. The gourmet breakfast benefit was inspired by the famous Hat Luncheon held in New York by the women’s committee dedicated to the conservation of Central Park, a prestigious and popular event. The Quebec version aimed to raise funds for the preservation of Mount Royal.
More than 500 guests gathered for the occasion, proudly wearing hats, fascinators and headpieces. The team of the magazine Elle Quebec was there, and can you guess what the representatives of one of the most famous fashion magazines in the country were wearing? Fascinators signed Capelio, of course!

Indeed, Sandra and Nathalie, respectively brands director and communications director for the magazine, were elegantly wearing custom Capelio creations signed. I was honored to see my headdressess worn by such strong-headed and stunning women! And from the admiring reactions these two ladies got, especially with the black fascinator, you can bet they will soon be available in Capelio’s online store…
A very nice event, a great cause, and a beautiful moment for all those who were lucky enough to attend. The pretty hats and fascinators worn by the guests inspire me for new creations, and I am already looking forward to next year’s edition!
